Rotary vane vacuum pump

Rotary vane vacuum pump

Rotary vane vacuum pumps are a type of positive displacement pump used to create vacuum in a closed system.
They use a rotating vane, typically made of graphite or a similar material, to create a seal against the pump housing
and the walls of the pump chamber. As the rotor rotates, the vanes slide in and out of the rotor slots, creating pockets
of low pressure that draw gas or vapor into the pump.

The vacuum pump's rotation compresses the gas or vapor and pushes it out of the pump chamber and into the system.
The process continues as the rotor turns, with each vane creating a pocket of low pressure and drawing in more gas or
vapor. The gas or vapor is expelled from the pump through an outlet port.

Rotary vane vacuum pumps are widely used in a variety of applications, including manufacturing, scientific research, and
medical equipment. They are often used in vacuum packaging, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, as well as in
laboratory equipment such as vacuum ovens, freeze dryers, and mass spectrometers.
